Using Your NDIS Plan at Engage Playfully

Engage Playfully is a Registered NDIS Provider, which means we can support families who are:

  • Plan‑managed
  • Self‑managed
  • NDIA‑managed

Invoices are issued at the standard hourly rate (QTY 1.0) in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for the current financial year.

  • Plan‑managed: invoices are sent directly to your plan manager
  • Self‑managed: invoices are emailed to you for payment
  • NDIA‑managed: claims are processed directly through the NDIS portal

Most of our services are funded through the Capacity Building budget, commonly under:

Improved Daily Living (CB Daily Living)
This category supports children to build functional independence, emotional regulation, communication, social skills, and everyday coping strategies.

Early Childhood Supports (for children under 9)
These supports focus on early developmental needs, emotional well-being, and the building of foundational skills through play‑based, relationship‑centred intervention. If you’re unsure which category applies to your child, we’re always happy to help you understand your plan.

What Your Funding Can Be Used For

Families can use NDIS funding for a range of services at Engage Playfully, including:

  • Animal‑Assisted Play Therapy
  • Child‑led Play Therapy
  • Emotional regulation and social skills support
  • Early intervention sessions
  • Parent guidance and coaching
  • School collaboration and teacher support
  • Small‑group therapeutic programs

All supports are delivered by qualified practitioners who meet NDIS requirements for disability‑related therapeutic services.

Private Fees

Families who are not using NDIS funding are welcome to access services privately. Private fees follow the same hourly rate as NDIS‑funded sessions to ensure fairness and consistency across all clients. Invoices are issued weekly and payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise arranged.

Reports and Documentation

We can provide a range of NDIS‑aligned documentation, including:

  • Progress summaries
  • Goal updates
  • Reports for plan reassessment
  • Recommendations for future supports

Reports are billed at the standard hourly rate and written to support funding justification and demonstrate measurable progress.


Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and schedules change. To ensure we can maintain consistent staffing, animal welfare routines, and availability for all families, Engage Playfully follows the NDIS cancellation guidelines.

Cancellations With Less Than 7 Days’ Notice

If a session is cancelled with fewer than 7 days’ notice, the full session fee may be charged. This is in line with NDIS policy and applies to all clients, including privately funded families.

No‑Shows

If a child does not attend a scheduled session and no notice is provided, the session is billed at the full rate.

Why This Policy Exists

Your session time is reserved exclusively for your child. Late cancellations mean:

  • therapy animals and staff have already been scheduled
  • preparation and planning time has already occurred
  • another family misses the opportunity to use that time

This policy helps us maintain reliable, high‑quality services for all families.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to find an alternative time within the same week. Rescheduling is dependent on availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Public Holidays & Service Closures

If your session falls on a public holiday or a planned service closure:

  • you will not be charged
  • we will offer an alternative session where possible
