Rebekka Harper

I have experience supporting children in both school and therapeutic settings. I feel incredibly passionate about helping children feel safe, understood, and supported, and I love how play and connection can help them express themselves, build confidence, and grow.

As a mum to three girls, along with a cat, lizard and bunny, I bring not only professional knowledge but lived experience of the beautiful, messy, joyful reality of family life. Being both a mum and therapist deeply shapes the warmth, patience and understanding I bring to my work.

I am especially passionate about play therapy and animal-assisted therapy, and the unique ways these approaches can help children feel calm, connected and empowered. I love creating a space where children can be themselves, feel accepted, and work through challenges in ways that feel natural and engaging to them.

My approach is warm, playful and relational, with a focus on helping children and families feel supported as they build resilience, connection and confidence.

  • Bachelor of Counselling

Our Therapy Animals

Poppy

Meet Poppy, a trained therapy dog with Secret Dogs Business. She’s naturally gentle, caring, and beautifully attuned to the needs of every child she meets. Poppy loves dancing, chasing balls, tug of war, and quiet cuddle time. Her playful spirit and calm, nature make her a wonderful companion for creating joyful, meaningful moments in therapy.

Winnie

Meet Winnie, a trained therapy dog with Secret Dogs Business. She’s full of playful energy, curiosity, and gentle enthusiasm. Winnie loves treats, belly rubs, and meeting new people, and she’s already showing a natural ability to bring joy and comfort to the children she encounters.

Waffles

Waffles brings a gentle, calming presence that supports children to feel safe, regulated, and ready to connect. With his soft nature and steady temperament, he is a wonderful fit for our Animal‑Assisted Play Therapy programs.

The activities that are the easiest, cheapest, and most fun to do – such as singing, playing games, reading, storytelling, and just talking and listening – are also the best for child development.
